Unless you have the skills and time to do it yourself, green building has to be a collaboration between professionals and owner(s). Professionals come to the table with years of study and practical experience. Owners show up with a pen and checkbook. It's not a very egalitarian set-up. We believe that everyone involved in building should be educated about the fundamentals. To help toward that goal we've written two books and a number of articles. If you don't want to read our work, fine, but read something and take the initiative to educate yourself. Trust us, you won't regret it.
